Since 1963 

The connection between Sanfeng Company and China can be traced back to the 1960s.  

In 1963, Sanfeng Company began selling its products in Shanghai.  

In 1968, an agency contract was signed with Leeport&Co in Hong Kong.  

1980s

A display hall has been set up at the first level station of China Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Company in East China, which has signed a Shanghai agent contract with it. Japanese technical experts have been dispatched to provide technical support services.  

1990s

Although the deployment of Japanese personnel was cancelled for a period of time due to changes in the external environment, in the late 1990s, various Japanese manufacturing companies sparked a wave of expansion into China and began to deploy Japanese personnel again.  

In 1996, a measurement technology center was established at Beijing Institute of Technology, and Japanese technical experts were dispatched as service outlets to start technical support services again. After the deployment of services, in response to the call for strengthening domestic business support in China, the Beijing office of the Japanese headquarters in China was established in 1997. During the same period, as a new competitor in the European and American markets, measurement tools produced in China showed a growth trend. We established a production base in Suzhou in 1998 and officially began to focus on our business in China through both sales and manufacturing.  

twenty-first century

In 2001, Sanfeng Precision Measuring Instrument (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Sanfeng) was established in the Waigaoqiao Free Trade Zone of Shanghai, focusing on sales and services. Taking this as an opportunity, Sanfeng Precision Measuring Instrument (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (Tianjin Sanfeng), a sales and service base based in North China, including the joint venture Leeport Metrology, was established in 2004, ushering in a new era of jointly exploring the Chinese market by the three companies.  

Unveiling the prologue of a new chapter in the challenge of history

In 2012, Shanghai Sanfeng and Tianjin Sanfeng underwent organizational integration. Leeport Metrology has officially changed its legal entity name to Mitutoyo Leeport Metrology. Further strengthen the overall function of Sanfeng Company and enhance its compliance with corporate laws and regulations, providing more satisfactory products and high-quality services to customers in various regions of China, with the goal of becoming a leading enterprise in the field of precision measurement.
